Friday (2/3): IRON headed down to Park for a quad against Centennial, Park, and Two Rivers. The team won its first dual over Two Rivers (37-34) in exciting fashion by winning the last 2 weights when being down by 6. The team then lost its next two duals to Centennial (53-15) and Park (57-22).

Saturday (2/4): We sent both Ryder (113) and Aaron (152) to the MNGWL Individual State Championships over at Champlin Park High School. Ryder, unfortunately wasn't able to pass skin checks and wasn't able to wrestle. After a full day of wrestling, Aaron finished in 7th place by going 3-2 in the tournament. Aaron becomes the fourth place winner and our second place-winner in the last two years!

Wrestler of the Week: This week we have two Wrestlers of the Week; Romer (160) and Aaron (152). Romer earned it this week from going 3-0 on Friday night, winning one in overtime after overcoming a 5-0 deficit in the first period . Aaron earned his for placing at the MNGWL State Tournament and wrestling very tough in every match (both of his losses were by just 1 point).

Outlook: This is the final week of the regular season! On Thursday, the team will head up to Cambridge-Isanti for a quad with Cambridge-Isanti, Farmington, and White Bear Lake. On Saturday, the team will be hosting JV Conference at Irondale (this marks the end of the JV season for competitions).
