IRON goes 6-2 in duals - 2 qualify for MNGWL Individual State Tournament

Tuesday (1/24): IRON hosted its last competition of the year bringing in Cretin Durham-Hall, North, MPLS North, and Tartan. The team went 4-0 in duals on the night.

Thursday (1/26): The IRON team headed sown to East Ridge for a tri with East Ridge and St. Paul Harding. The team kept its win streak going by beating East Ridge, 78-6, and St. Paul Harding, 47-30. These wins moved the team to 10-13 in duals on the season.

Friday (1/27): The team headed over to Totino Grace for duals against Rogers and Totino Grace. The IRON Varsity team ended up losing a close dual to Rogers, 47-31 and then lost to Totino Grace, 61-14.

Saturday (1/28): The Freshman and under squad went to Robinsdale ArmStrong for the MNGWL Region 6 tournament. Both Ryder (113) and Aaron (152) finished in second place and qualified for the MNGWL Individual State Tournament.

The Wrestlers of the week are Ryder(113) and Aaron(152) for finishing top two at the MNGWL Regional Tournament and qualifying for the MNGWL State Tournament.

Outlook: The IRON team starts to slow down for competitions. On Friday, the team will head down to Park where they will wrestle in a Quad against Centennial, Park, and Two Rivers. On Saturday, Ryder and Aaron will wrestle in the MNGWL Individual State Tournament and look to add to the programs MNGWL Ind. State Place winners (most recent two being Charlie Dojan (6th) and Clayton Solberg (6th)).
