Thursday (2/6): The SIS team headed over to Stillwater for the last duals of the regular season to wrestle Stillwater (#3 in AAA) and Kasson-Mantorville (#2 in AA). The guys wrestled tough and Chris Zuniga was the lone winner against KSM and is one of our Knight Spotlight Wrestlers. The other Knight Spotlight Wrestler goes to Eric Bratch against Stillwater for going out and getting a pin against one of Stillwater's seniors on their Senior Night.
Saturday (2/8): The SIS team headed back out to Stillwater with 12 wrestlers representing the JV squad. The team finished with 8-place-winners and Patty Lavin (HWT) was the lone champion going out and getting first period falls in his 3 matches and our Knight Spotlight Wrestler on Saturday.
Outlook: The wrestling season is now officially into the postseason! The only competition this week will be Team Sections on Friday and they will be hosted at Mounds View High School. We will have a team roster of 19 wrestlers (14 starters with 5 alternates) that will be suited up. Come on over to cheer us on as we take on the #4 seed, Tartan in the first round!
