Thursday (1/30): The SIS Team tooks a short trip over to Mound View to wrestle against Mounds View and Eastridge. The team finished the night 1-1 losing to Mounds View in a well fought dual where the score was 13-7 after the first 6 weights.

Friday (1/31): The high school team then took a trip over to White Bear Lake for a Quad with sectional teams; WBL, North, and Tartan. The team finished the night 1-2, losing duals to Tartan and WBL. Our Knight Spotlight wrestler is Marvin Lamin (HWT) for inshing the week 5-0 with wins over 4 sectional opponents!

Our Youth team was over at Fridley for their first tournament and had the experience of having Charlie Dojan as one of their coaches for the night. It was a ton of fun and most of the kids were able to get 3-4 matches!

Saturday (2/1): On Saturday morning Grayden and Romer headed over to Champlin Park High School for the MNGWL State Tournament. Romer (132) started off with a win in the first round and then fell in his next 2 matches to the guys that finished 1st and 6th, and was one round away from placing. Grayden (170), had a tough draw into the eventual champ for his first round and then wrestled a tough match against the guy who finished 7th. Overall it was a great experience for our young wrestlers and a great stepping stone in their careers!

Outlook: In the final week of the regular season, the entire team will head over to Stillwater on Thursday to wrestle Stillwater and Kasson-Mantorville. On Saturday, we will be back out at Stillwater for the JV Conference Tournament.
